I start with the question, not the deliverable.

I seek to understand before I dive in. Digesting a large amount of information quickly is my superpower. Before I recommend anything, I go talk to the people who actually hold the answer: your team, your customers, patients, physicians, payers, or partners. I listen for what the numbers alone will never tell you.

I'm the strategist.

I connect the science to the commercial reality, direct the right specialists, and hand you recommendations you can act on. You get clear direction, with a penchant for action.

About Karen

I've spent my career using insights to find the commercial angle and capturing the revenue. I've sat in every seat that matters: the consultancy, the manufacturer, and the C-suite.

I read a market for the opening, then build the plan to take it, whether the client is a global pharmaceutical company, a clinical-stage biotech, or a consumer health brand trying to reach people in a way that actually moves them.

I hold a B.S. in Biology from Duke University and an MPA in Non-Profit Management. I teach strategy at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, and I run K Squared Consulting.
